Dear Sisters,
I rejoice and celebrate with you as you participate in your 10th
annual Women’s Conference. I’m thankful for the privilege I had in being a part
of two of these conferences. I was given the challenge to speak with you about
being pearls in jars of clay. And I know God is continuing that work in each of
you refining you and making you more
beautiful as He conforms you to the image of His Son Jesus Christ. God has
blessed you and led you and caused you to grow. I give thanks to the Lord for
His great faithfulness and His unfailing love toward you.
I’m sure you’ve experienced many answers to prayer as you’ve
grown as a part of Christ’s body. For some of you, family members and friends
have come to know Jesus as you prayed for them. You’ve each known the joy of
Christian fellowship with other sisters in Christ. Some of you have experienced
the joy of finding a wonderful spouse and have been blessed with children in
answer to many prayers. Others of you have experienced the Gentle Shepherd’s great
comfort as you have lost a loved one but felt His enduring loving presence.
You’ve seen Him mend broken relationships and give victory in areas of
temptation. You’ve experienced His transforming power in your life and
witnessed it in the lives of others. You’ve experienced or witnessed His
healing power. You’ve seen Him protect and provide. You’ve found hope when it
seemed impossible. But most of all you’ve seen Him never give up on you, never
leave you, never forsake you and never stop loving you no matter what.
In Joshua 4 we read that when the Israelites crossed the Jordan
river on dry ground because God stopped the river from flowing, the Lord
instructed them to take 12 stones from the middle of the river and to set them
up to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever. I’m sure all of you as you
look back could have many memorial stones that testify to the Lord’s
faithfulness over these past 10 years. Never forget! When times get rough- take
up that shield of faith as you look back at that heap of stones! And give
thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures- not just for 10 years-
but forever!!!
(Ps. 118)
Amen!!
God bless you!!!
With much love,
Debbie Bannon
